Emma update

She is growing so much. We are so absolutely blessed to have an
amazing baby. She is so sweet and so loving. Wow!

We are getting ready to have the Apple Butter Festival this week.
Emma really likes the Somewhere over the Rainbow song by IZ. We play
it for so often.

We are still going through 20 diapers a day!

Human Tivo and Parent Brain

Sometimes I wish there was such thing as a HumanTivo. You know
everybody would love it.

You just had one of those conversations with your spouse (or
co-worker), the ones with the words 'yes you did say that' , 'no I
didn't say that'.. How priceless would the Human Tivo be in that
conversation. Just go to the previously archived conversation. Play
it Back! Or someone is talking to fast and you play the slow play
button. Or you are going deaf and instead of asking that person what
they said you just play the jump back button.

Well... we could have used the HumanTivo tonight. I said to Naomi,
"you want to rent a PPV movie tonight" and she said sure. We saw the
'The Prince and Me' on the list. So we decided to rent it. Well 2
minutes and $3.99 later, we remember that we had rented this movie
some one month ago on DVD (which we rarely do). See HumanTivo would
have been great to have at this point. Ahhh... Parent Brain...

Babies are simple

One baby! You know babies are just simple. All they really want is to eat, poop/pee and be entertained. I think in so many ways we need to get back to that in our lives. We need to get to the point where we have simplified. We don't have some many distractions. So many things pulling us away from what is the most important thing.

Braves 13 in a Row baby!!

Can't believe. Noone thought this team was going make it. I remember
watching the games in 1991! Who could forget Sid Bream's slide in to
home. This is a sweet win. There are no superstars really on this
team. All the great pitchers are gone. Just a new team. Check out a
good finally read on the game

What I learned from the Apprentice this week? (week 3)

Hmm.. what I learned this week..

1) Don't put all your eggs in one basket. If you think you are going
to be able to put together a deal to give away 1 million dollars in 24
hours. Also, think that you might need a back up plan

2) Leave yourself plenty of time to move 800 cases of Toothpaste.

3) If you act crazy in front of a lot of people (and you have crazy
hair). They are going to think you are crazy (regardless if you are
crazy). And the Donald. He don't like Crazy!

A9.com

Amazon.com is given a instant reward discount if you use their new search engine A9.com. The discount is pi/2%. The aren't really advertising it. Read what they sent me below..

Douglas Moore, since you've been using A9.com recently, virtually everything at Amazon.com is automatically an additional π/2% (1.57%) off for you. Collecting this discount is zero effort on your part. It will be applied automatically at checkout (it will happen whether you use the shopping cart or our 1-Click Shopping®). You don't need to do anything to get this discount except keep using A9.com as your regularsearch engine.

We don't advertise this additional discount that we give in exchange for using A9.com, so if you want your friends to know about it, please tell them. It is probably the only way they'll find out. All they have to do is use A9.com as their regular search engine. They should make sure they are signed in to A9.com (it should be recognizing them by name) so that we can be certain they get credit for their visit.

While the π/2% discount is a good additional reason to use A9.com it isn't the best reason. A9.com licenses its web search results from the industry leader Google, and then supplements those results with Amazon's Search Inside the Book™ results. The coolest feature is that A9.com keeps track of your search history for you on the server side.

To see how this works, do some A9 searches from your computer at work and then sign in to A9.com from your computer at home.

How can we afford this additional π/2% discount? Sponsored links revenue -from the small text-based ads on A9.com and Amazon.com search results pages -will help offset costs we incur through the Rewards promotion. With our automatic π/2% discount, we are effectively sharing with you some of the money we collect from sponsored links, i.e. sharing the pi.

Please use A9.com and tell your friends.

Thank you

Happy Shopping!

Emma in pictures

We have gone overboard in a couple of ways i think. Ok I have gone
overboard. I probably take about 20 to 30 pictures of emma a day.

We have an HP 735 Digital Camera and it takes really
amazing shots. I can't tell you how many pictures we have taken to processed.

And I use our Sony DCRTRV22 MiniDV Camcorder to shoot
video footage. So much video footage. I could shoot video of ever movement!

We edit all that on Ulead VideoStudio 8 - Home Movies. It has been lots of fun working on this. I am working a XMAS dvd for everyone!

I can't imagine not living in the digital age where you couldn't
instantly have pictures to share!!

Self Holding Pacifier

Now Emma is not necessarily addicted to here pacifier but she does
enjoy it every now and then. The thing I have noticed about a
pacifier is that it just comes out. Some how can we invent a pacifier
that will stay in without falling out.

I have thought can I attach a string to the pacifier around here
ears. Or could I place some type of dissolving glue around the
pacifier just to last about 30 minutes.

We are still going through alot of diapers but it is daddy and Emma
bonding time!

Things I learned from the Apprentice

It is funny. We have had a severe storm tonight. It knocked out our
sat. for a while. So we were watching just one channel. So thus we
watched the Apprentice.

Things I learned from the Apprentice tonight:

1) People will buy the strangest flavors of ice cream
2) Men dressed in bow ties sells ice cream
3) Don't steal other people's space to market your wares
4) That caviar can be ridiculous expensive
5) Don't volunteer away your immunity.
6) Don't look weak in front of Trump
7) Always Always Always pack a bag

If I knew then what I know now I would of....

If I knew then what I know now I would of had a child along long time
ago. My daughter brings so much joy, so much happiness, so much
excitement. She makes me understand why there is so much love in the
world. It is hard to think of people who have children and they harm
them in some way, or neglect them.

Bracing for the storm

Well we are still holding up in the office. WE are bracing for me
rain. We are expecting up to 12 inches over the next couple of days.
Our ground is already saturated so we are expecting more flooding.

Our family has a condo in the Gulf Shores so we are just hoping for
minimal property damage.

20 Diapers a Day!

Like I said before I belive our dear sweet child has formed a
partnership with Pampers Swaddlers. In 24 hours, we caculated that
she wore excatly 20 diapers. There are probably two reasons for this
1) her desire not to have a dirty diaper 2) Dad loves to use the baby wipe
warmer.

She is just more and more beautiful. Tonight we are holding up in the
Office at the camp where I work. Our house has been treated for fleas
and the doctor recommends 24 hours before we let the baby in the
house. So I packed 20 diapers and some baby wipes. (but we don't
have a warmer here).

ON being a Father

I know this blog has been all over the place lately. I haven't really been that focused.

Emma is amazing. She is going on three weeks. THREE WEEKS! She is an absolute bundle of joy. I was thinking today about how beautiful the birth was. How everyone was so happy! How all the nurses were amazing! We were so blessed. We had some many people praying for us and helping us. We had a Doula (labor assistant) she kept me calm. Granted there were times when the birth was stressful. That Naomi was in alot of pain. I didn't like those times.

When it was time for her to "push" the baby. It was amazing. Her mom, Carolyn (doula), Amanda (labor nurse), Naomi and me. We all worked together to get my beautiful daughter out. WOW!! WOW!! There was a harry minute or two when emma's shoulder was stuck on the pubic bone. But God provided people that knew what they were doing. Thank God! We didn't know what sex the baby was before she was born. And once she was born I was elated but it didn't really matter to me what sex she was.

We are so blessed. She is so beautiful. She is growing every every day. A few days after birth she had jaundice. But she handled that like a champ. She now weighs 9 lbs 8 ozs. WOW!!!

So I am a Dad. I have gone back to work. I struggle with that. BUT the amazing thing is I live were I work. So I can see them whenever I want. Next week I am working half days every day.

She sleeps in our arms. She looks and stares. She listens to me read to her. I want to write her a song.

I believe in GOD! And she makes me believe even more.

Went to the doctor yesterday. Emma had a good checkup. She is a

As you can see from the previous entry.
Today I went home and got to feed her so Naomi could sleep so moore.
That was awesome!

I took so really precious pictures of her last night. She is becoming
