Katrina Relief Day One

Today was our first full day in Biloxi to help provide relief and recovery.  Honestly, when we came down here we thought that a lot more progress would have been made.  But as you can see from the pictures on http://www.degomi.com. There are still homes in devastation.

We are hearing that it CLEAN compared to how it looked a few months ago,  but folks are still living in cars and tents.  A lot of families are lucky to be living in a FEMA trailers but most are not.

The major dilemma that most families are facing is they no longer have a home but still have a mortgage and their insurance covers wind damage but not water.  Their disaster relief money has already run out.  Not sure what to do to help them.

BUT, today I did hear of some needs in this area.

1) More work teams.  We are working with a ministry called Hands and Feet and they need more work teams.
2) At least 1 Double Wide Trailer for the free clinic here in the outskirts of Biloxi.
3) Prayer for the emotional and mental distress associated with losing everything but the clothes on their back.  Help getting through the grief process.  This is a job that only God can tackle.

We are sure as the days go by we will hear of more needs but for now this is

God Bless,

Real Estate Finally

Wow! I have been very busy. But now I am up and running. I have been doing real estate for two weeks now. And so far I really enjoy the freedoms of being an agent. I enjoy the people. Naomi has started her first day today at work. She had to go to calhoun for an orientation training. So I hope that goes well for her today. I am really excited about the next couple of months. Emma is starting her first full week at the new Daycare today. The biggest struggle so far about the new daycare is that feed here a lot of junk. Which emma eats better than we do. We both had to fight off a little stomach flu this weekend. Well my desire is to keep this more updated will see...

Today's Thoughts

Well the first step of our new lives is in progress. Today we are going to pack all of our stuff up and move it to a storage unit in Blue Ridge. I am going to be taking the Real Estate license Exam in the next couple of weeks. The studying has been long. But I have enjoyed it. I am really excited about the newness and the challenges God is putting before us. Emma is growing everyday. We are moving back towards some simplicity. more later...

Convert Protected Audio Into a Plain MP3

If you've ever bought music on iTunes, walmart.com, or another legal music-downloading system, it'll be protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM). Protected from you, the consumer. DRM is designed to keep you from doing certain things with your music--not that these things are illegal, just that the record companies don't want you doing them.
